Welcome!

I am so happy to be sharing with you my Montessori homeschooling journey.  This is my first year at it and I have already learned so much.  I by no means have it all figured out, but am loving the process with all of its joys and challenges.

I am a Catholic mom with four children, 7, 4, 2, and 6 months.  I am striving to provide my children with authentic Montessori schooling (as best I can from home and with little or no training)!  I am AMI trained from 0-3 years, but after that I am rather blind.

I am starting this blog really because I think I am too verbose and it would take me too long to tell everyone all of my crazy stories and adventures that this journey takes me on.  That being said, I am going to write it all here so that my family and friends, along with other moms, can enjoy and possibly learn from these experiences.

Our new endeavor also brought about the chance to vote on a name for our school.  It was quite interesting to hear some of the names the children came up with.  We had a "St. Pope Montessori School" request from our 4 yr old!  But in the end, we decided on Our Lady of Good Counsel Montessori School.  We even bought the icon which hangs on the wall before you enter the classroom.  I even took it upon myself to write the name on the wall.  Who knew writing on the walls could be so much fun.  P.S.  Don't let your kids see you doing this!!

As I begin to post and include pictures, don't be alarmed!  My children really do have faces, but due to the nature of how public the Internet is, you won't see them.  Call me crazy, strange, what have you, I'm just a paranoid mama.

God Bless!
